A Wonderful Christmas

I hope you all had a wondeful Christmas. I know I sure did.

Christmas Eve Travis and I went over to His sister's house. We wanted to see our nephew's and give them their presents because we knew it was going to snow again on Christmas and we wouldn't be able to go and see them for Christmas day.
I love those boys so much. They loved their presents so much. I wanted to get them more but we are trying to save money so it was hard not to spoil them!
Uncle Travis and Henry.

Heidi and their beautiful Christmas tree

The whole family.  I love them so much.

My sweet Henry. He has this look that just kills you. I caught it on film..

Christmas day we slept in, which was so nice not having any commitments.
After we woke up and showered, Travis and I went and got Steve, Travis' brother.

Travis was very excited about his picture of Charlie. I just need to finish it.
I am not sure if I told you but I also got him a pocket watch. He told me that he has always wanted one. I found the perfect one in Utah when I was visiting. I even got it engraved.
On the front it says: "Our First Christmas 2008"
Then on the back it says "Forver Yours, Shalee"
You should;ve seen his face! It was priceless, I wish I had my camera out but I was too excited to give it to him.

Then it came to the present Travis gave to me. I opened that one last. I had to! The best gifts are always opened last!
Me opening the box. I had NO idea. He is very good at keeping secrets!
He got me a riding jacket! Oh it is so nice! The smell of leather makes me melt!
I want to wear it all the time, but it has the protective armor in it. So its not practical for everyday wear.
The boys. Steve, Kym and my Travis.

Every year my parents always make gifts for everyone. Very creative family I have! Anyway my mom made Travis the coolest gift. She made him a calender of me. Its all baby pictures of me and it coordinates with the months. She worked so hard on that. Travis loves it so much.
I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. I know I did.

Some Belated Utah Pictures

I went to Utah earlier this month and I have yet to post pictures from my wonderful trip.

Travis was unable to go, but it was nice for me to go and see my family. I hadn't seen them since August.

My Sweet little brother and I.
I can't believe he will be 13 in February! I was 8 years old when we adopted him. I can't believe how much he looks like all of us.

My beautiful mom and brother.
We went out to eat at OutBack.
One of my favorite restuarants.

My mom's mom and her husband and my parents and I went out to Applebees for lunch before I left
I love my grandma and grandpa.
My gorgeous grandmother just battled pancreatic cancer and won!
She is one tough cookie!

My dad and I went out for Sushi.
Our favorite thing to do!

I love my mommy so much.
She is the most beautiful and saintly woman I know.
She is my role model.
She is an amazing woman.
I hope I can be just as good of a mom she is to me.

I love my family,

They are beautiful.

Its only like the cutest movie ever...

I have officially found my new favorite Disney movie.

Its about this little German Shepard puppy, that goes on a search for his Person, after she's been kidnapped.

Won't give you any more info cause it'll spoil it but just know that I loved it! And its totally worth it to go see in the theater!

I honestly believe that they studied Charlie for this part. Their mannerism are so much a like.
I love it.

I saw it with my wonderful family over the weekend. I love them so much.
I am so glad I got to see them.

Thanksgiving, Food poisoning, and Black Friday

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope yours was better than mine.

The night before thanksgiving travis and I went to this new mexican grill by our house called Qdoba. It was supposed to be like Taco Del Mar. Whatever, it was okay. Travis gave it a 4 on a scale from 1-10. I enjoyed my burrito very much. But about an hour after we got back home, my stomach started to hurt. I didn't think anything of it, as usual, because I hadn't drunk a lot of water that day.

Thanksgiving morning, I wake up and I am sicker than a dog. I feel terrible. I thought no way did I catch the flu again. Yeah food poisioning... bleh Yeah for thanksgiving and not being able to eat anything. The thought of food made me gag. So needless to say I didn't eat much.

What. A. Sad. Day.

Anyway on friday I had to open at Costco at 6AM! Oh it was so early! I did not want to get out of bed that's for sure, just because one it was so early, and two I was still feeling yucky from thanksgiving. I wasn't going too fast because I honestly didn't think Costco would be busy that day. I mean seriously who does their Black Friday shopping at Costco? Whatever america, you proved me wrong. Between 9 and 1 there were over 1500 people that came through our store! Holy. Cow.

I am just thankful that I was not anywhere near that shopping frenzy on Friday. I did not want to get trampled or shot to death over a toy for my nephews. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27996349/ and http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27957714/
People died over this stupid day. Really people? Do you have to get that last toy? Order it online!

People disgust me.

No.

Corporate America disgusts me.

Long Days; Short Nights

Travis' parents were out town for almost two weeks. Oh it was so wonderful for Travis and I to get a break. Mary is so negative all the time, its hard to be around her. Anyway while they were away Travis was able to work on our mini speed boat we are restoring.

When we got it I was so worried because it looked like a lot of work; too much work if you ask me!
As you can see it needs a lot of work and time.

Travis finally got the bottom half painted. Oh it looks amazing! We had to take it apart to to able to paint it how we want.
My poor husband has painted that boat over 3 times to try and get it perfect. We don't have a painting booth here so he had to paint it in the garage. Needless to say that was a very bad idea. Bugs galore got into it, and the insulation fell into it as well. We had to sand off the paint and the shiny coat, twice. And the third time was a charm!

Travis and I both work during the day many times opposite schedules. He has the same schedule every day, 7-3:30. And I work crazy times. Most days I work 1:30-10:00. Its awful.
We never have the day together and our nights are much too short because he wants to go to bed soon after i get home from work at night.
I can't wait until we get our own place. We need it.

Downtown and Sweet Nephews

Tuesday was a wonderful day. It has been super rainy here lately and I've been unable to do a whole lot of things outside. Since I just moved here with Travis I don't have a lot of friends, the ones I do have work in the food court with me and we don't have corresponding days off. Anyway I thought it would be fun to spend my day off with my sister-in-law and her two wonderful boys.

So I went over there around 11 when Henry was waking up from his morning nap and to pick up Joesph from preschool.
After I surprised Joesph we went to downtown tacoma. Our first stop was lunch. We were all starving; Heidi and I were in the mood for a little Cafe. We found the perfect cafe on the corner of the street:
Grassi's

After lunch we were all in the mood for a little desert. So we stopped by Heidi and the boy's favorite cupcake shop. Happy Cupcake. If you ever get a chance to roam downtown tacoma I highly recommend this boutique. It was a cupcake frenzy;the boys had more on their face than in their stomachs. After that fiasco we took a ride on the train. It is Joesph's favorite! We went up and down the avenue, to pass the time Henry and I played peek-a-boo over the seats.

After a long day for the boys it was nap time for the boys so we rode the train one more time back to our car.
Needless to say I had a wonderful day with my nephews and my sister in law.

I love them so much.
