But I got off work early yesterday and we were able to go.
I was so excited!
It was a little chilly but not as bad as it had been! We were worried it was going to rain on us but thankfully it didn't!
I thought it was a very cool tree.
I love killer whales. I am not sure why, but I have always liked them!
Oh I loved the puffins!
This dear sweet man puts up with all picture taking.
Yeah for Zoolights! We had a wonderful evening!
There were so many families there. I love the way parents dress their kids when its cold out. It is so much like little Randy from a Christmas Story. I can't wait until Travis and I are ready to have kids. He is going to be such a good Daddy. And yes I will dress my children like Randy when its cold out.
Now I'm so sad, 1st off it didn't rain we didn't go to zoo lights since it was sprinkling earlier and I didn't want the kids getting sick. And 2nd I could have ran into you and travis, how fun would that have been.
ReplyDeleteI love all the pictures, I think the kids and I will go next weekend. We're zoo members and I promised the boys.
I love Randy, it's so like how I bundled Caden up in 3 layers when the snow started. Have a wonderful Sunday :).
It would've been so neat to run into you! Travis wouldn't know what was going on. He isn't big into getting online and such.
ReplyDeleteYeah I think Travis and I are going to go Ice skating next weekend up in seattle. :D
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Those lights are beautiful! You and your husband are soo cute!! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWe would have loved to meet you both. I know my hubby Rick is the same way, what are you doing on there is always what I hear!
ReplyDeleteIce Skating now that sounds like fun, I bet the kids would get a kick out of that! But man that would mean I need to get my butt out there, ugh!
I posted this on my blog, but wasn't sure if you had the email reply on so just in case :).
ReplyDeleteShalee you crack me up! You and Travis are welcome to come over anytime for dinner. The more the merrier!
For the cookies, they are SUPER easy. I call them the Semi Homemade way, since you use Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix. Now these are called Spritz cookies but me and the Spritz gun don't get along, so I just rolled them into balls and baked them :).
It also has a icing, but I like them with out it, personal preference :). Let me know how they turn out:
Eggnog Spritz Cookies
*1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker® sugar cookie mix
*1/2 cup butter, melted
*1 egg
*1/2 cup Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
*1 teaspoon rum extract
*1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Icing
*1/2 cup powdered sugar
*1 1/2 teaspoons milk
*1/4 teaspoon rum extract
*Betty Crocker® red and green decorating sugars, if desired
1. Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, egg, flour, 1 teaspoon extract and the nutmeg until soft dough forms.
2. Fit cookie press with desired template. Fill cookie press with cookie dough; press cookies onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely, about 20 minutes.
4. In small bowl, stir powdered sugar, milk and 1/4 teaspoon extract until desired consistency. Drizzle over cookies. Sprinkle cookies with colored sugar.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): No change.
I love killer whales too! I am obsessed with the ocean and all things in it.
ReplyDeleteThe zoolights look awesome. What a fun idea. I wonder if they do that at our zoo...? I'll have to check it out for next year. We can compare pictures ;)
Came across your blog on the SITS site and just wanted to tell you that you are your husband are adorable!
ReplyDeleteHaha, well, I did come across your blog on the SITS thing, but that's not why I'm commenting, though I do think you and Travis are adorable. Wow, was it really over a year ago when he proposed? I remember that night pretty well! :)
Anyway, just wanted to tell you that I LOVE the fact that you have Third Eye Blind playing on your page. I'm in love with them.
Also, the picture at the top of your page? So cute
That is sooo awesome that you got to go! It looks pretty cool from the pictures! I wish I knew of something like that for us to do. Looks fun!

Visiting from SITS....
ReplyDeleteWe took our granddaughter to see the lights at the Cincinnati Zoo on Saturday night. Fortunately, it was 70 degrees (in Cincinnati, in late December, no kidding). We had a great time, although not exactly the evening we were expecting....
Wow, those pictures were great. It makes me wish we had something cool like that around us.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
Yup he's all boy, trucks and trains are his best friends ... LOL
ReplyDeleteThose were pretty good cookies, one you can't eat too many at once or you'll go into a chocolate coma ;).
